Our History

Tactical Group was founded in 2018 by Shane Jury and Henry Matthews, two ambitious entrepreneurs in their early 20s with a shared background in facilities management. With nothing more than determination and a vision for something bigger, their very first contract was cleaning a small office for just £25 a week.

Through dedication and a commitment to quality, the business grew steadily in the domestic cleaning and grounds maintenance market. By February 2019, demand was strong enough to hire the company’s very first employee — a milestone moment.

The pandemic reshaped industries everywhere, but it also created new opportunities. Tactical Group adapted quickly, supporting clients with specialist decontamination cleaning and stepping up to deliver essential grounds maintenance services for local authorities. Our resilience helped us expand to a team of 15 employees and relocate to our current base at Green Farm, Burghfield — the heart of our operations today.

With growth came reinvestment. By 2023, our team exceeded 20 employees, supported by new vehicles, machinery, and equipment. Tactical Group was no longer just a small business — we had become a trusted and professional service provider across multiple sectors.

After fully transitioning to the commercial market, we sharpened our focus on serving local authorities, schools, and corporate clients. To better support our partners, we restructured into four specialist divisions:

• Grounds Maintenance & Open Spaces
• Cleaning & Hygiene Services
• Security & Event Services
• FM Support

Today, the Tactical Group is proud to employ over 60 dedicated staff, from frontline operatives to operations managers and office support. What began as a single cleaning contract has grown into a thriving facilities management group — built on reliability, professionalism, and trust.
